Sometimes, there are those images that just check all those lovely little boxes. The ones that catch our attention and keep us thinking about them long after we’re done looking. The ones that make us think, or giggle, or sigh, or smile, or even cry. The images that we remember are the ones that makes us feel something.
This is one of those images for me. It is appropriately titled “Dive In.”
When I took this, I knew before I even uploaded the file to my computer that it would remain one of my favorites. There’s just something so absolutely happy and carefree…and, yet, it has a hint of trepidation. Too little to go so deep.
It’s icing when an image that I personally love so much is recognized by others. I was gobsmacked to be recognized by the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP) for the annual International Image Competition. With over 7,000 entries, competition is incredibly stiff so I am humbled and honored by this recognition of merit.
In honor of summertime, I encourage you to…well…dive in 😉
