In the beginning, there were two people and a boy who decided they wanted someone else to call their own. It’s always tough making the leap from one child to two; I would argue that it’s the toughest transition…but, also one of the most poignant. It’s not just about us parents anymore, but about the tiny person already living in our midst. How will he react? Will I have enough time to devote to him? Will he resent the attention his sibling is receiving? It’s a tightrope walk, to be sure. But, one that makes the world a much richer place.
Deciding to add to an already existing family is serious business. But, this particular family has done it with such grace and style that it’s made me rethink my own decision not to add to ours.
Sari and Brent have a growing brood of two GORGEOUS boys! I don’t envy them during the high school years; they’ll be fending the girls off right and left! But, it’s truly an inspiration to see their poise and dedication.
I was privileged to have spent a brief morning with them and look forward to watching their family grow!
