Okay, I normally find myself gravitating towards the toddler/preschool age group. It’s such a period of change in childhood…so many firsts, so much personality, testing the waters of independence.
But this little lady had me from the time she crawled into my studio. She is, in a word, smoochy.
What I love most about families just starting out with the first child is the absolute sense of wonder and connectedness that follows them around. I mean, even big strong dads like Greg are wrapped tightly around those tiny little fingers.
And, then there’s mom…just absorbing how her tiny human and her spouse have quietly taken up all those tiny spaces in her heart. It really is awesome.
New moms and dads make me just a little nostalgic. And, are a really great reminder of why I do what I do. Finding the fun and happiness of families is what it’s all about!
