When Vanessa called to schedule her family’s session, is it weird to admit that I got a little giddy when she mentioned she had three young children (5, 3 & 6months)?! Seriously, fun is better. And, I don’t know anyone who likes to have fun more than the toddler/preschool set.
She didn’t want a session at home and didn’t want a session outdoors because Sir William was not yet walking…so, to the studio we go! But, my concept of studio sessions is quite different from what most people probably think of.
When you come to a session at my studio, we jump on beds.
We twirl and dance to the music.
We climb on furniture (and Dads).
We play Hide n’ Seek.
In short, I try to run my studio sessions in much the same way I would approach an in-home or outdoor session. We have fun. Because fun is better!
But, I always leave room for cuddles. Because we’re never too little or too big for a cuddle. Heck, I still like a cuddle from my mom too!
These five are a perfect epitome of why I do what I do. I love to create beautiful, lasting images that clients can look back on for years. But the best part? It’s fun. It’s really really fun.
